BIODEGRADATION Is the process by which organic substances are broken down by enzymes produced by living organisms. An important role is played by microorganisms which are present in any natural environment and they feed on the organic waste transforming the organic matter into carbon dioxide and closing the entire natural cycle that starts from the creation of the organic matter through photosynthesis.
